Today Today!

I celebrate 23 years of existence...YES!
Jake (you know, my incredible husband?) made me the cutest little birthday breakfast this morning, which was WONDERFUL. words cant even describe my love for him... it's true. sappy, but true. :)


unfortunately I've been at school since 1, and have another class until 10 tonight. Can you say bummer? I can and have. Sure puts a damper on your birthday plans! I'm am, however very much excited for my family birthday dinner at bahama breeze tomorrow! and my momma bought me some toms! Well she told me to order them but I can't make up my mind which ones I want...lol. I'm too indecisive for my own good, really.

At least I have my awesome friend Devinn, to take silly pictures with between classes...HA. takes my mind off of the fact that I'm stuck here for the next 4 hours when I could be celebrating my blessed 23rd year of life! ughh. so you get ANOTHER photobooth dump. I promise I'll post something more fun and exciting next time..maybe some baby picture, haha...or the awesome cowl I've been working on for the past two week now? I just need a button! one big, brown, wooden button!

guhh.

want to know what happens when I'm bored after class? I entertain myself in this [sad excuse for a] computer lab like so (mistake it not, we definitely have better looking labs, I just chose the lame, abandoned one):






and that floor, it give's me a headache and make's me dizzy every time I walk down the hall. Obviously I wasn't the only one, I think that's why they started replacing the floors with tile... way to keep us sane Art Institute!

I seriously need to catch up on my blog readings, I logged on today and I was overwhelmed with all the interesting posts. So I apologize if I have neglected to make my rounds.

It’s still cold in Florida. I’m not going to lie, I love it..and I know it’s definitely not going to last for long unfortunately. We woke up this morning and had warm cinnamon buns for breakfast. then we took a short road trip to Brooksville early this afternoon and this is what we found.

a moment of love, a dream, aloud.

ahhh. I’m sitting here with a cup of coffee listening to the (500) days of summer soundtrack. It’s magic, really. So today it was cold, really cold by Florida’s standards, so we got up and got out of the house to enjoy it! Yesterday after a great church service we went to Target and then just laid around the house, but not today my friend, not today. We were originally going to go thrifting, but changed our minds at the last minute…maybe tomorrow?

 

We took a little trip up to a park that we used to go to a lot our first year of marriage. It’s so serene and peaceful. We love it. So I turned on the ipod to what? you guessed it, the (500) DOS soundtrack upon Jake’s request and we walked around listening and talking… until our hands started to freeze and our noses turned pink, to where I couldn’t even feel the snot dripping (haha, yea gross). Then we high-tailed it back to the warm car! It was magical while it lasted. :)

 

 

    

 

      Only in Florida can you enjoy going to the seaside during the winter!  Thenn we took ANOTHER trip to Target. Yea, for stuff I forgot to get yesterday, I kicked myself for not making a list. Totally out of character for me. Then we went to Borders, read for a while, got a white mocha and headed back home. and that’s where I’m at now. 

 

Olive’s been crazy this week. Seriously I think she’s had some kind of traumatic experience with Cody that I don’t know about. I mean last night I pick her up and she’s yelling and hissing and crouched down in a ball, like limp. WHAT? yea, she was freaking out. every time Cody would come within a foot of her, she’d go mental and start hissing and swatting (she’s usually not like that). i felt so bad! but 5 minutes later I gave her some treats (the quick fix) and she was fine. I got her some catnip toys today to make up for whatever, lol. Listen to me, I talk like she’s my kid or something. If you ignore this paragraph, that’s totally fine with me, HAHA.

 

anyways, she’s sleeping on my lap, and that’s the way I like it :)

Surprise

yep that’s right! I love surprises... lo and behold yesterday I received some “late Christmas” gifts in the mail via my handsome husband! He knows the way to my heart.

 

  

 

they are from ninexmuse.etsy.com and I am in love with them. I don’t know about most of you but I’m not much of a Tiffany & Co. kind of girl, never really have been. I much prefer etsy, anyday :) Jake, I’m so glad that I found you, and that you get me. my sweet, sweet man. <3

I also visited some friends this weekend who just had their second child (hurray Miller!) and their daughter is pretty much my guinea pig when it comes to children’s photos. I love taking pictures of her because she’s adorable and completely photogenic and of course her parents are completely rad. no exaggeration. :)

OH. and I totally took the plunge and cut my bangs across. I was just talking to jake about how emotionally attached I am to my hair, it's completely ridiculous really. but Ashley (my brother in law's gf) has a bit of experience in hair cutting so she came over and we did it. chop chop chop snip snip snip, no more side swept bangs. I love Zooey Deschanel's hair (LOVE HER), so I was hoping that they would look somewhat like hers:

farewell, 2009…hello, 2010!

not that it’s that big of a deal. I never really did think it was. But here’s a tribute to 2009, you were a good year, with lots of good experiences…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To limit some of the highlights of this year to 12 was so difficult, we were so blessed this year and I can’t wait to see the changes that are coming! Jacob and I are working on personal goals lists, and bucket lists for 2010 as well and goals that we want to achieve together, and so far the future is looking bright. :)
