Pumpkin Shmumpkin.

Ok so I swear I’m not obsessed with mustaches. But they do make me giggle and therefore deserve to make their way into this post. and yes, I carved a mustache into my little pumpkin this year. It might become a new tradition for at least one, every year. check – it – out.

I carved, Jake watched, and Cody and Olive ate the pumpkin guts, it was clearly a family affair.

no need to explain the rest…

Procrastination at it’s best.

I’ve realized that I put off blogging and then when I do finally decide that I have enough time, I have a massive post with lots of pictures. Is that a good thing, or a bad thing? I’m not so sure, but I hope you don’t mind. I received a most wonderful package in the mail from this week via giveaway from Heather at Heatherly Made! < check out her blog!

Thank you so much! all the items are adorable and I can’t seem to take off the button earrings. I’m so very grateful. :)

This weekend, I went to a birthday party for a two year old, and a craft fair deal on Clearwater beach…

Here are some pictures from my beautiful niece Lilly’s, 2nd Birthday:

Happy Birthday Lilly Bug! and congratulations Tasha & Lance on your beautiful new home! :)

it was pretty much the perfect day to go to the beach on Sunday after church, so what better than a craft fair on the beach? Our friends Dan & Rachel and their perfect baby met us there. I’m so ready for some seriously colder weather though. I can’t believe Christmas is just around the corner. sometimes I hate how time flies by so fast, but then again I do love the holidays!

afterwards, Jake & I went and ate boneless wings, walked around the mall to people watch (& take advantage of the massage chairs at Brookstone) and stopped at Borders to get my ReadyMade magazine, but thus no luck, so I browsed the cookbooks instead.

We are having a family fun fest at our church as an alternative to Halloween on Saturday night and it’s completely free. FREEEEE EVERYTHING. So that’s pretty much what our time this week has been devoted to. Selfless service, the best way to show God’s love, we say. That being said, if you are in the largo area on Saturday night and would like some free anything just come by! lol. I’ll post a flyer later this week.

and and ANDD I’m carving pumpkin(s) tonight! I have no choice. I’ve been saying that I’m going to all week and Jake got me some small ones last night, so I have no excuse. I’m going to watch “it’s the great pumpkin” and carve a pumpkin.

I guess that’s all I can think of. so until something else pops into my mind, that’s all you get. Did I mention that I am highly upset that October is practically over already?!! again, how time flies.

antique fair and a cool breeze.

As most of you know, here in Florida we rarely get a cool breeze. It's been Fall for weeks now and we have yet to see it, except for a few "cold fronts", but no leaves changing. What a jip, right? The "cold fonts" last MAYBE 48 hours and the coldest you get is in the late 50's. Well this weekend is one of those weekends. I woke up this morning, turned the AC off, opened all the windows and listened to some coffee brew. It was beautiful. It's supposed to be even cooler tomorrow, YES.

Jake and I are both, very much home bodies. So a majority of our weekends are spent at home, doing homework/projects, relaxing, crafting or cleaning...yes, cleaning (except for the dishes, i despise the dishes) You know the drill. But I told myself as soon as summer was over that I would fill my calendar with fun events so we could soak up the season. Last week we visited a fun fair and an art fest in St. Pete, so today we went to an antiques fair in downtown Dunedin, which was so nice. They had lots of fun goodies to look at and art galleries to visit. I was in love. Not to mention, I’m pretty lucky to have a husband that actually enjoys antiqueing and thrifting, I’ll give him credit ;)

and we found this lovely home decor store with lots of things that we love. There were vintage styles and modern styles, not to mention they had 6 or 7 different Christmas trees already set up with different themes! I was definitely feeling inspired by the time we left and we will obviously be going back. :)

I seriously haven’t been to the movies in over a year…but I’m about to break the cycle.

So for the last hour I’ve been listening to the Fox News, about the 6 year old boy stuck in the balloon, just to find out there is no little boy in the balloon! Ugh, what gives?!! not that I wanted him to be in danger, but here they are making a big hoopla about the first grader flying around Colorado in a homemade balloon, and the darn balloon is empty all this time. bogus. I pray that he didn’t fall out though, that’s what they’re talking about now :/

So yea, dear blogosphere, I’m sorry for putting you on the backburner but hey, I got a life to live and you just aren’t a priority right now. My sincerest apologies…however, since I have some time, I’ll update you on my most recent productivity! I have to admit that I’ve been quite the little crafter this week. I made two different homemade fall garland, and a wreath. but that’s not all! I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves… :)

garland #1, inspired by Elsiecake…see below posts.
